

Full-Time Fixed Term RVN Role
Registered Veterinary Nurse – Fixed-Term Contract (6 Months)
Cùmath Pet Surgeons is seeking a dedicated and professional Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join our day team on a six‑month fixed-term contract. This position has arisen due to maternity leave within the team and offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a modern, expanding referral environment.
The Role
This full-time position is ideal for an RVN with a particular interest in pre-, peri-, and post-operative care and a commitment to delivering high-quality client communication and patient support.
The successful candidate will be involved in:

Analgesia and fluid therapy

Surgical assistance
-
Diagnostic imaging
-
Wound care and post-operative nursing

Laboratory procedures

Maintenance and monitoring of surgical equipment

Supporting medical cases as required
Training will be provided where necessary to support the varied surgical caseload typical of a referral setting.
The role includes participation in a weekend on-call rota (currently 1 in 8). The on‑call RVN is on-site on Saturday mornings (08:00–12:00) followed by on‑call duties for the remainder of the weekend, attending the practice as required.
Salary & Benefits

Salary: £29,800 – £35,300

Cùmath Pet Surgeons is an independent small-animal referral practice founded in early 2024 by Cùmath founders, Scott Rigg and Michelle Murphy, both of whom have extensive experience within the Scottish veterinary community, including the leadership of an award‑winning referral centre.
