Pricing
At Cùmath Pet Surgeons we believe in accurate quoting wherever possible. We have created a series of fixed price packages to include the most common procedures and investigations, in an effort to make budgeting and decision making easier. If you are offered a fixed price package for a procedure that is what you will pay.
Some problems will require investigation prior to determining what package is indicated; in these situations we will provide you with a quote for the investigation and a separate series of quotes for the most likely differential diagnoses so you have an indication as to whether you wish to proceed with the initial investigations.
We understand that every pet and owner is individual and that not all cases will fall into the category of these packages. In these unusual situations we may need to quote differently for the procedure.
Cruciate Surgery

Lateral suture

We adapt our cruciate surgical technique to suit individual pet anatomy. Tibial Plateau Levelling Osteotomy (TPLO) is our most common procedure, though for certain anatomies a Cranial Closing Wedge Ostectomy (CCWO) will be more appropriate. The cost of these procedures are the same and include consultation, pre-operative imaging, surgery, 2 weeks post-operative analgesia, hospitalisation and the 4-6 week post-operative imaging if required.
We also offer a fixed price package for the occasions a lateral fabello-tibial suture is required.

Cùmath’s Fixed Price Conditions
All our fixed prices include the costs to investigate and treat a single, commonly diagnosed problem. Should the problem be more complex, or should the pet have medical co-morbidities (e.g., diabetes, heart disease, hypothyroidism, etc) a supplemental charge may be applied. The financial significance of this will vary and will be discussed with owners.
We will often choose to treat infections, such as dental or skin infections, prior to performing a non-emergency surgery. The cost of treating infections prior to surgery is also not included in fixed price packages.
We will not be responsible for meeting costs or changing the price if a procedure or treatment included in the fixed price package is undertaken at another practice.
