Veterinary Nurses

Jill trained and worked in a mixed practice in Perthshire before qualifying as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2013.

She moved to Aberdeen in 2014 and joined a small animal practice where she helped the team build an award winning referral hospital taking on more responsibilities she worked her way up to become Assistant Head Nurse.

Coming into Cùmath as the Head Nurse, Jill is dedicated to ensuring high standards are met.

Patient care and infection control are both areas Jill aims to build a reputation for excellence within the industry.

Supporting mental health within the practice will be a high priority as Jill has recently joined Vetlife as a volunteer financial representative.

When not in practice Jill loves taking her cat Tiki out on adventures and being up in the mountains or in the sea.

Catherine has worked in Veterinary practice for 29 years; She qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2000 and has worked in various practices doing a mix of referral and general practice nursing.  Catherine has keen interests in patient care, imaging and anaesthesia.  When she's not at work she is kept busy with her very active family and their working cocker spaniel "Brew", however her favourite pastime has to be sitting in the sun, sipping a nice glass of wine.

Lois Henderson

Sophie has a passion for working with inpatients, finding it incredibly rewarding to witness their progress after surgeries. She also enjoys assisting in the operating room. Outside of work, Sophie loves visiting her hometown of Montrose to spend time with her two lively dogs, Mac and Chinook. When she's not outdoors visiting friends or family, she can be found gaming on her PC or reading a book, often with her cat Bella curled up on her lap as a cozy pillow.

Siobhan has worked in veterinary practice since 2009 in both first opinion and referral practices. She qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2015 and gained her nurses certificate in anaesthesia in 2019. Siobhan has keen interests in anaesthesia, diagnostic imaging and surgical nursing. Siobhan has a love for show cocker spaniels. Out with work Siobhan can be found playing at Highland Games with her local pipe band and spending time with her two cocker spaniels at home.

She qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2015 and gained her nurses certificate in anaesthesia in 2019. Siobhan has keen interests in anaesthesia, diagnostic imaging and surgical nursing. Vickie enjoys anaesthetics and would like to explore this further, she also has a keen interest in diagnostic imaging and medicine nursing. Outside of work Vickie can be found entertaining her border collie Finlay and spending time with friends and family

Amy has been a Registered Veterinary Nurse at Cùmath Pet Surgeons since August 2025. She graduated in 2024 with a First Class Honours degree and began her career in first opinion practice, where she worked for three years before moving into referral nursing.
She has a particular interest in diagnostic work, especially radiography and, more recently, CT imaging. She enjoys contributing to the process of reaching accurate diagnoses and supporting patients through their treatment journey. She also has a keen interest in furthering her qualifications, hopefully completing an advanced nursing certificate further in her career. 
Outside of work, Amy values time at home, particularly during lambing season, accompanied by her sheepdog, Fern. She is also a keen artist, specialising in animal portraiture, you will find her sat in front of a canvas during her free time!
